1976-New York Nets (ABA) 117, Boston (NBA) 114 [MVP-Julius Erving, New York Nets]

Please read the link I provided which has a fictional account of each game. It's just fun and fascinating for me since it very well could have happened.

I believe ABA teams would have dominated in the last few years before the merger.

What would be the implications of the ABA dominating before the merger ? How would it have resounded down the decades? Surely, Julius Erving would have been considered the best SF ever, maybe until Lebron.
