He took one year of big losses, had the team professionally valued to see what he could get in a sale, and is still talking with a potential buyer at the same time jettisoning players for P&L savings, no flexibility. AK47 declared a malcontent so they could get rid of him to save money. Pierce (who asked to come back) allowed to go to a rival and this year declared "impossible to win" to save $20M.

Nets fans are full of shit on the payroll, the fact he spent so much failed but it was 100% what you want as a fan. Once he sells players for cash you applaud the Nets savings money like you're stockholders. If Pierce prevented the nets from functioning it was a good move but all it did was put $20M more in the pocket of a billionaire. Fans applauding that is sad.
