Blocks and steals don't tell us much about a guy's defense, cmon my dude. 90% of what guys do on that end is not captured in the box score.

You're comparing a 6 foot tall guy who is an elite passer and a very good scorer, whose defense is really good but again, 6 foot tall..

To 6-8 and 6-10 monster wing players who are either All-Time Great (Durant) or Elite (LeBron) scorers, great rebounders, much more impactful defensively than CP3 will ever be, and then LeBron is at Bird's level when it comes to passing, and Durant has become a good passer for a SF.

CP3 is a hall of fame point guard, but he's not an All Time Great player/talent like LeBron and Durant are.

the postseason, a caveat to this , will be his production if his team ever manages to get there. if AD can outplay (statistically) durant, who has come up short the last 2 or 3 playoff years, there will be little doubt as to who the better player is.
