I haven't seen anything but a few small spiders here. There was a week where there were these giant ass (2 inch long +) beetles that sat on these little dirt hills and reared up like a protective spider when approached. Looked up what they were and they only come out from underground for a week or 2 per year to mate in July. Scary f*ckers, but nothing too dangerous.

I live at 7000 feet elevation, so it actually feels like Oregon. It has been thunder and lightning about once every 3 days for the last month, and sunny the other 2/3 of the days. I'm in an apartment. Our complex just had a BBQ on Thursday and the people seemed cool, but I'm not close with any of them yet. Some pretty cool co-workers, and the people in town seem good in general.
