He is right though. All you need to do is to press the Y-button and then RT+LS towards the hoop. Why can't that bum Bosh do it? What a loser.

Go and play some basketball. It's not as easy to post up as you might think. Top it off with posting and not getting the ball sometimes.

Isn't there such thing as the "Charles Barkley rule" or something like that?

This rules prohibits a player to dribble backing down the defendef starting from the 3 point line?

That's not posting up. Posting up is getting and holding position in the post with back to the basket.

So much emphasis is put on athleticism, seeing that most superstars are now freakishly athletic, and they like their teammates to be runners too to help compliment their game.

Its no wonder the NBA removed the 'C' position from the all-star game.

Bear in mind as well that with it being a guard driven league, many guards now choose to create shots and kick it out for the extra point from the three point scorer. People hardly pass it in the paint anymore.

No one wants to learn to post up anymore. It takes forever to learn and isn't glamourous.

I thought that was the "Mark Jackson rule".

Because you have to learn it, and today's coaches are encouraging big men to play like guards instead of teaching them how to operate on the block.

just a diff era, is all

i mean, 90s you have hakeem, robinson, ewing, etc. today, hibbert is an all star. this dude would be a backup in the 90s
If they had a time machine that could get us a player that was young back in the day like a prime 1964-1965 era Walt Bellamy and bring him into this era of basketball, he would probably be the best center in the league today.

Andre Miller and Wade are two of the best smaller players who can post up,

Aldridge is clearly elite when facing up, but he still has a very solid back to the basket game

It wasn't just big men. 90's guards and forwards were adept at posting up too. Jordan, Pippen, Kukoc, Barkley, Danny Manning, Wayman Tisdale, Nique, Worthy, Derrick Coleman, Larry Johnson, Glenn Robinson, Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, Glen Rice, Steve Smith, Penny, Nick Anderson, Drexler, Mitch Richmond, Mashburn, Juwan Howard, Mark Jackson, etc were all good/great post players. I'm sure there were more that aren't coming to mind at the moment.
