Why did Love reject Cleveland's initial efforts to get him onto their roster?
You are a delusional retard if you don't think Lebron got some kind of confirmation that Love to Cavs was a strong possibility. Yes, he didn't know it would happen for sure, or that they would mesh well together, hence his contract with an opt-out clause after one year.

Melo didn't even go to Chicago, why should he have gone to Cleveland without even knowing what was going on behind the curtains with Love? Not everyone is trying to "buy" rings like Lebron. Melo chose loyalty and money over immediate contention. At least his intentions and actions are transparent.

And Bosh was just waiting for Lebron to get the hell out of town, so he could sign a max contract with the Heat and be the 1st option like the alpha boss that he is, instead of leaving for greener pastures like some insecure bitch.

I didn't realize the Cavs were contenders without him.

So Lebron knows what Love is promising before even Love does? That's impressive!!

Why didn't Love get confirmation that Lebron was going to Cleveland? I seem to remember Love rejecting the Cavs advances when the Cavs wanted to offer the number one pick for him.

What? Love doesn't have inside information on his own self? Lebron has magically powers that Love doesn't even know that he (Love) is promising himself to Cleveland?

As to Melo: What? Lebron is the ONLY one with inside information? Not even Melo or Wade or Bosh or Deng (all-stars) even knows what is going on behind the scenes? But somehow only Lebron is privy to such information? Only Lebron.

How much more does Lebron pay for these magically advisors that nobody else in the NBA has? Or is Lebron again-an all knowing God?

The 2012, 2013 and 2014 Heat were in the red without LeBron under one of these measures.
I don't love the methodology here but really interesting link. I think their bar for "replacement level player" is higher than many models as they use league avg rather than replacement player. But the point remains: joining Wade and Bosh was great but there was no one else on that roster to complete that team, especially once UD and Miller went down. By the time they brought in a team to support their key guys Wade (and Bosh to a lesser degree) were well on their way to the downslope of their careers. That Heat team never did really come together the way a lot of people expected; LeBron just carried them a long ways.

Not even going to comment on the rest of that "delusional" paragraph, but I do have a question about the bolded:

Lebron left for greener pastures in Cleveland?

Okay, name me the other free agents (prior to Lebron) seeking to go the "greener passures" of Cleveland...

    Stahp.

He said 6 months ago he wasn't returning to Cleveland and their "cold winters" when asked about it. And then they got rewarded with the 1st overall pick and Wiggins, and then the door for a Love trade opened which led to a LeBron return.
So, the Cavs without LeBron would contend this year?
