tina fey started as a professional SKETCH comedian and later expanded in to writing and SNL and other comedic roles.


there are different TYPES of comedians, just as there are different types of teachers, scientists, actors, artists, engineers, etc etc. stand-up is ONE of the various forms of comedy.
