Lots of players use what people think about them to prove them wrong...
Its not uncommon for good players to care about what others think?

He has played on one team in his NBA career that played the opposition to even when he was off the court. It was last year.
Thats it. Thats the list. No team he has ever played on has been AVERAGE without him until last year.
Compare that to Durant; his team was 2.0, 4.1, 5.2, and 4.6 points/100 poss better than the opposition when he went to the bench the last 4 years. Or Tim Duncan: 9.9, 2.8, 7.0, 2.4 points better without him.
