The analogy really doesn't work
It's totally like that. LeBron wouldn't give the Cavs the time of day if they weren't suddenly loaded with young talent whereas the Heat look like a franchise with some uncertainty.

i wouldn't be surprised if those teams would've been worse than CLE this year...with or without Lebron.
Chicago is still striking out on stars. Dallas way overachieves every year, and while i like Phx they way over achieved all things considered. i really like Phx's backcourt with IT tho, thats 3 unnbelievable guards.

I agree but if he really was ring chasing, there are so many better options than Cleveland.

It's not ring chasing per se, but it definitely is bailing out on one situation the moment it looks like its getting too hard to go back to a situation that suddenly looks like its on the up and up.
No loyalty whatsoever.
Three no.1 overall picks + the possibility of adding Love is definitely a brighter situation looking forward, LeBron saw that and bailed.
I don't see it as much different as a girl who will jump from boyfriend to boyfriend the moment her current guy looks like he might not be able to meet her financial needs and the other guy suddenly starts to look attractive to her.

Only with idiot Lebron haters is a team who won 33 games in the worst conference of all time looking on the "up and up"

Re: We gonna act like bran didnt quit again?
Lebron should have stayed. He left for the purpose of winning rings. Its not like they got bounced in the first round. They lost in the Finals after Riley loaded up the team. He still left.

you should try investing in stuff, you'll realize whats important is based on the future, not the past.

Three no.1 overalls and the possibility of adding Love ... c'mon son.
How many wins did the Heat have the season before LeBron came there btw?
He and his "team of advisors" know exactly what they're doing.
He doesn't want to stay in Miami because it would get too hard in the coming years. He needs a younger cast of players to surround himself with and maybe carry him a bit going forward, so he bailed out seeing the opportunity.
I'm happy for Cavs fans because they deserve some good things to happen, but this is about as calculated of a move as it gets.

No the cavs are complete shit, it's all bran going to carry them if they win.
Standard bran logic , anyone with half a brain can see the cavs are in a great position hence why bran went back

Only Lebron stans won't consider it quitting, when in fact in reality it's quitting. Let's just say the Heat won their 3rd* straight ring, do you think Lebron will leave? He won't. Dude always gets going when things get tough. Instead of thinking revenge with the Heat, decides to jump ship and join a younger team that has a better future.

They have the league's lowest winning percentage over the last 4 years, but okay.

this has to be one of the dumbest statements ever
why would you judge a extremely young team based on their past?

This is an original, novel thought that required its own thread. OP sounds very enlightened.

Maybe cause the events of the past are an indicator of what is to come in the future?
If your girlfriend has cheated on you more than once, she's probably going to do it again. The Cavs will be better next year, but to act like they are anywhere close to a championship level team is absurd!
