How far would Miami have made it if they were in the West?
I think it's safe to say San Antonio and OKC would be clearly ahead of them. The Spurs are whipping their ass as we speak and OKC was at least somewhat competitive against the Spurs. The Clippers probably get the nod over the Heat too IMO. I would say they might make it to the 2nd round after a tough 7 game first round series, but no further than that.

1st round, if not further.

WCF.
I would say the NBA Finals. However, Wade pretty much took most of the playoffs off. The Heat wouldn't be able to get away with that in the West. Wade would have to play every game at a high level.
The Heat have a winning record versus the Western conference teams.
So, like I stated, they would make the WCF and possibly lose to Spurs since Wade would be pretty much gassed/injured etc.

Played bad teams more often. More energy for the good teams in the west.

Facing 1 Western Conference team in NBA Finals is not the same as facing 3 Western Conference Finals teams in the playoffs.
Your more likely to run into San Antonio in the West than you are in the NBA Finals.

I honestly think the Clippers could take them. What the fuck would they have done with Blake and DJ? If old man Duncan is wrecking them in the paint, I shudder to think what LA's bigs would do. CP3 and Blake together > Lebron, DJ's rebounding and interior defense would negate Bosh, and the combination of Redick and JCrawford would overpower this broken down old shell of DWade. The rest of LA's role players are better than Miami's as well. It'd be a tossup.

Im not sure they can beat the Clippers
And Memphis would've given them a few games worth.
Depends on where they're seeded. At 54-28 that puts them at 4 or 5 seed. I doubt they make it past second round considering blazer/rockets in the first round.

the Indiana Pacers were at least the 2nd or 3rd team in the league most of the year. it's certainly arguable the Heat could beat any team in the West not named the Spurs. none of those other teams are as tough and as well coached as San Antonio.
