Default Mia with Prime Allen or SA with Prime Duncan.

If in this year's Finals the Heat had a 26 year old Allen instead of the 37/38 year old one and the Spurs had a 26 year old Duncan (2003 MVP/FMVP) instead of the 38 year old one, which team comes out on top?

Prime Ray Allen wouldn't fit on that team or make a difference as like a prime tim duncan...prime duncan is clearly the superior player but it helps even more that he would be utilized much more then a prime ray allen...prime ray allen was a do it all kind of guy who could score in a variety of ways and handle the rock but when you have lebron there all ray would need to do is shoot...it would help the heat to have a prime ray allen but with lebron and wade there as well as bosh it doesn't seem like theres enough touches to go around for ray to make a tremendous impact

put prime ray on san antonio and you have a different story

If you see both teams to be about the same level (which I think is fair based on the Finals last season)...

Miami has trouble guarding Hibbert when he plays at his high level. 2003 Duncan is one of the alltime great NBA seasons. Peak Allen is very good, but he wasn't even a superstar.

Wade and Allen play the same position.

    So... Spurs.

There's only one ball. Prime Ray wanted the ball in his hands, and LeBron is better with the ball in his hands.

    Duncan all the way.

Hmm.... LeBron with prime Allen, and then having current Wade coming off the bench would be insane

37 y/o Duncan shat over the Heat/Bosh last year, let alone prime Timmy.

With peak Duncan they could probably beat the Heat playing their early 2000s bogged down offense.

Now imagine what they'd do with all that ball movement from the double teams.

pop would have to change coaching style completely, i dont think u would have that amazing ball movement but rather give it to tim duncan like the early decades of the 2000s

37 year old Duncan G7 - 25 points IN THE FIRST HALF

2003 TD against Bosh? It would look like Shaq playing 4th graders down at the Y.

Prime Rayray would be great and I salivate at the prospect. But Miami would have no answers for 26 yr old Duncan. NONE.

Duncan and the Spurs for sure.

Duncan would barely come off the court. Played 44-46 minutes in games routinely... 46 minutes of Duncan's two-way impact is invaluable.

TD would probably notch MVP and Finals MVP if he was in his absolute prime right now.

Spurs offense would be slower, however, more "4 down" like there used to be. Utilizing Duncan's excellent court vision, patience, passing, and elite scoring.

I meant "probably win MVP". I mean it's between him, Durant, and Lebron...

I think people must forget just how great Duncan was in his prime. He would do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. Heat would be playing HackaTim and that would be all they could do. Why don't we give prime Robinson instead of Duncan at all while we're at it. He would rip the entire Heat apart.
