Re: Real talk: How rampant is drug use in the NBA re: Brandon Jennings
A drug is, in the broadest of terms, a chemical substance that has known biological effects on humans or other animals. Foods are generally excluded from this definition, in spite of their physiological effects on animal species.
Alcohol is a drug.
Caffeine is a drug.
Seriously, the government and society have really done a number on all you sheep. It's crazy that "drugs" are illegal. Why? Why is smoking marijuana illegal?? Why?
Why is Alcohol Legal?? Makes no sense.
So many people drink and drive and get DUI's and people die but yet alcohol is fine. They keep selling it, legally.!
Insane. IF you don't think it has anything to do with the government, money etc you're kidding yourself.
There's no way that alcohol is safer than weed.

Not as bad as it was in the 70s/80s where you had MVPs like Moses Malone developing a speech impediment because of his coke habit but still some players use. D Wade holds a drug party every summer on his yacht for people in his inner circle.

Because the government isn't in the car insurance business. they're not the ones paying for the cost and damages!

The Brandon Jennings thing isn't being talked about much except on gossip websites, which is a shame because it sheds light on how irresponsible these guys are as multimillionaires disrespecting their franchise. The guy is just flat out ignorant. The younger NBA athletes are really distracted and it paints a real good picture as to why some players don't to reach their potential. Respect to Swaggy P for saying no. Guy needs to be conscious of who he surrounds himself with and probably ask Kobe for some mentorship on how to get to the next level. It's not in clubs doing molly.
Jennings is a father
Grew up in Compton
His dad committed suicide
Explains a lot
Rich, fit, good looking twenty something alpha males???
Of course they will party from time to time. Its not as bad as the 90s and early century but there are still plenty of people partying.
Hard drugs I would say very rare, maybe a line or two in the best company (coke is out your system in 48 hours), some probably puff a fair amount of ganj, pills like E they probably don't test for so maybe on occasion, I am sure a few even tripped on acid or shrooms during the summer.
booze, lots of booze when they booze, probably play about 2 or 3 games hungover a year, most likely only hit it hard when they have a day or two off to recoup.

You don't think plenty of these guys are shovelling down the pain pills come the end of the season, when they are banged up and having to play the most important games of the year?
Anyway, OP=retard, if no one has mentioned that yet.
