Default Its absolutely impossible for the Spurs to win the 2014 Finals

    1) In 2013 they had Gary Neal making every single three. (he is gone and belinelli is playing really bad at both ends of the floor).

    2) In 2013 they had Danny Green making every single three from games 1 to 5 (until they realized they had to defend the guy..this year they are doing it from game 1)

    3) Duncan played great and the Spurs had about 10 different chances to win the ring in game 6.

    4) They won game 1 on the road with a miracle shot by parker....still lost.

    5) D. Wade was injured, this year he is healthy

    6) Lebron played pretty bad from games 1 to 5, only played well 8 minutes of the 4th in game 6 and game 7....wont happend again

    7) Tony Parker is injured, last year was healthy.

    8) No Mike Miller but Rashard Lewis is hitting every shot from long range and they still have the 2 best players of the series and Ray Allen.

    9) The spurs played a perfect series last year and lost, now they are older and its easier to adjust against them, but harder to adjust against a younger team like Miami.

    10) The 2-2-1-1-1 format isnt making any difference now (the 2-3-3 was way better for the home court advantage team)

HOW IN HELL ARE THE SPURS WINNING THIS TIME???

    Miami in 5: 80%

Miami in 6: 20% (if Manu keeps playing well as in this playoffs)

PD: Superstar wins against deep teams most of the times.

forgot to leave out a key factor, last year wade had zero chance of winning finals MVP, this year he has a good 50% chance and the last time that happened was 2011

Belinelli > Neal anyway you slice it. Offensively and defensively. And Neal had no real impact.

    2) In 2013 they had Danny Green making every single three from games 1 to 5 (until they realized they had to defend the guy..this year they are doing it from game 1)

So they're covering Green tight and opening up the floor for Parker and Duncan? Green has already done his job as a floor spacer then.

    3) Duncan played great and the Spurs had about 10 different chances to win the ring in game 6.

    Irrelevant to this series.

    4) They won game 1 on the road with a miracle shot by parker....still lost.

They were already winning when Parker hit that shot, would have taken a Miami gamewinner with 5 secs on the clock, so it likely had no real impact.

    5) D. Wade was injured, this year he is healthy

Wade's finals stats last year > his playoff stats this year.

    6) Lebron played pretty bad from games 1 to 5, only played well 8 minutes of the 4th in game 6 and game 7....wont happend again

    Why not?

    7) Tony Parker is injured, last year was healthy.

Diaw, Mills, Leonard, Splitter, Ginobili all better/healthier this year. Parker was hurt last year too.

    8) No Mike Miller but Rashard Lewis is hitting every shot from long range and they still have the 2 best players of the series and Ray Allen.

    Heat's shooters have noticeably declined.

    9) The spurs played a perfect series last year and lost, now they are older and its easier to adjust against them, but harder to adjust against a younger team like Miami.

Miami is older than SA. And how could they have played perfect with Parker playing like crap most of the series, and having a massive choke job?

    10) The 2-2-1-1-1 format isnt making any difference now (the 2-3-3 was way better for the home court advantage team)

Why does home court mean nothing? Agree that the 2-3-2 is better for the home team but they still have more games in their arena and a potential game 7 at home.

Why do people think this is how basketball works?

Everything that happens in basketball could have gone another way.

You can't just list a few things and use that as a reason for why next time will be different. Everything else could change as well.

Well, just to address this point, Gary Neal was shooting 25% from three in the playoffs going into The Finals last season. Belinelli is shooting 42% so far. He's actually a much better natural shooter than Neal.

    So there's that...

    1) In 2013 they had Gary Neal making every single three. (he is gone and belinelli is playing really bad at both ends of the floor).

somewhat agree but Gary Neal is a defensive liability, and Manu has played twice as well this year as last year, Leonard is better and even Patty Mills has emerged as a spark off the bench, I think they make up for this.

    2) In 2013 they had Danny Green making every single three from games 1 to 5 (until they realized they had to defend the guy..this year they are doing it from game 1)

    Remains to be seen

    3) Duncan played great and the Spurs had about 10 different chances to win the ring in game 6.

He will play great again, no loss here

    4) They won game 1 on the road with a miracle shot by parker....still lost.

And Ray Allen saved the heats season off an offensive rebound kickout, this easily cancels itself out

    5) D. Wade was injured, this year he is healthy

I dont think Wade was injured, he has averaged 18ppg a game these playoffs, pretty much what he averaged in last years finals.

    6) Lebron played pretty bad from games 1 to 5, only played well 8 minutes of the 4th in game 6 and game 7....wont happend again

It will happen again if they defend him the same way, i.e. daring him to shoot the ball.

    7) Tony Parker is injured, last year was healthy.

    He isn't injured srs

    8) No Mike Miller but Rashard Lewis is hitting every shot from long range and they still have the 2 best players of the series and Ray Allen.

Rashard Lewis is averaging 4ppg these playoffs shooting 32% from 3, Mike Miller absolutely lit up the Spurs in game 7, Lewis cannot do that and he is soft as hell, this is a loss to the Heat

    9) The spurs played a perfect series last year and lost, now they are older and its easier to adjust against them, but harder to adjust against a younger team like Miami.

Do the Spurs really need to make adjustments? they had the Heat on the ropes in game 6 and we all know what happened.

the Spurs style of play is what allows them to still have the leagues best record, they are a year older but aren't any worse off.

    10) The 2-2-1-1-1 format isnt making any difference now (the 2-3-3 was way better for the home court advantage team)

This makes no sense, 2-2-1-1-1 favours the home team over the road team easily, the first 2 games are always feel outs, its easy for the road team to steal 1 in the finals and then guess what, they have 3 straight at home and can actually end the series on their home court ! This is a big win for the Spurs.
