How many times has Chuck called Duncan the best PF of all time? How much media-slurping do you guys need to be satisfied? Turn on the Blazers game and tell me that the Spurs are the "lovable underdogs" like so many claim. Ask Thomas Robinson if the snake that was planted in his locker room was an act of class and goodwill by the Spurs.

The Spurs are a powerhouse and Tim Duncan is an all time elite. They are not boring. But yes, the city that they play for has fat people. So what? Can you really not handle the banter on a 1am post-game show?

Dumb people in many other countries don't have an obesity problem

There honestly aren't many other countries in which junk/fast food is available as cheap as in America. In France a Royale with Cheese costs like 8.85 USD.

Also, America in terms of sheer numbers has waaaaay more poor people than other developed countries. And in non-developed countries, poor people can often barely afford rice and potatoes to sustain themselves, let alone milkshakes.


It's a pretty unique combination in America of crap food being priced low enough, and the lower class income being high enough, that they basically intersect right there at eye level with each other. And let's face it, a lot of these people live in the middle of nowhere, and tasty food is about the only release from the harships of life available to them. That, and meth.
