Default Mj shot 38% from 3 range in the first 3 peat

3 straight years in the playoffs. While Kobe has the man of his team 08-10 shot a lower percentage. Interesting I taught Kobe was the superior 3 point shooter

on less than half as many attempts?

    ok.

Kobe's a better ranged shooter than MJ and that's just a fact. The moments are the moments, and MJ has had his moments of shooting hot from the 3point line. But overall Kobe's better in that department.

if they were to both shoot 1000 3's, or 10000 3's. You'd bet your money on MJ over Kobe?

Who would you rather have shoot a game tying 3, Kobe or MJ?

I want to say Kobe because he's a better shooter, but MJ was more clutch. Hard choice

What's up with all the Kobe talk recently? there are like 10 threads dedicated to hating on him on the first page and 0 threads about anything Lebron related

you'd think lebron was injured & Kobe was going for a 3peat

3 consecutive seasons in the playoffs. Similar age wise too. He even shot 30% in one of those playoffs rilun in 08.

I never felt MJ was comfortable shooting threes, its almost like his release and arc was designed for mid range

you are comparing a small sample size of performances. If you say something like, "prime MJ showed up bigger in jump shots than Kobe", then yeah i'd agree.

But if you say that MJ was a better shooter than Kobe based on that, then I disagree.

Jordan shot better than Kobe on seasons that he shot over 200 + three pointers. I'm not counting on seasons where the line was shorter. Just that when Jordan made the 3 pointer part of his game and shot them regularly, he shot better.

On the first season that he shot 200 3 pointers, he shot better than all but one of Kobe's seasons. Not counting Kobe's rookie year with the shorter line. But think about that, on the first season that Jordan made the three pointer part of his game, he shot better than all but one of Kobe's seasons.

Small sample, no? At the very best, you could make the claim PEAK MJ was as good as PEAK Kobe in 3PT shooting.

Mj and Kobe both have a lot of gametying clutch 3s.

I'm showing you at the same points in their career at similar age/role on team Mj shot better.

why would you do different points in their careers? wouldn't generalizations like who was a better shooter be more accurate if you do everything combined, like overall?

if MJ and Kobe each took 1000 3's, or 10,000 3's, you would bet your money on MJ making more?
