Key word being for basketball, not strictly the NBA. And it's accurate. NYC has some of the most knowledge fans of the sport. LA meanwhile has a fan base full of obnoxious, spoiled, hispanic Homers who try to discredit anything that isn't purple and gold.

Because when I get up in the morning I think about the many Championship runs our Team has had, then I think of the competition and the only ones who can see us is the Celtics.

I agree with a lot of this.

While I think NYC fans are often annoying and have their homerism, it's not as biased as the LA fan base and they are pretty knowledgable fans here too. ShaqAttack is a Knicks fan, he was one of the better posters here before he left (or just on hiatus ?). Franchize, who usually posts in the Knicks forum, is another good one.

There are good fans representing the LA fan base here, as well, but it's hard to find the more rational ones.
