If you look up his best games most of them are against mediocre teams in the regular season and he also chucked the ball over 30 and 40 times multiple times in his career
Take LeBron* out of your comparisons and you've got a solid argument.

Kobe wouldn't come close to winning with team and you have just completely confirmed your bias.
Nope..U twisted again.
Kobe played stretched out defense ( all defense since Jodeci was still singing)Kobe was the primary facilitator of the triangle during the 3 peat and beyond....
Kobe was the #1 option in the 4th quarter.
Kobe had far more responsibility then Shaq, ( who dominated 3' from the hoop)
Kobe could score on anyone with or without Snaq....this has been proven throughout History.
At 22 years old ESPN claimed Kobe " the best player in the league"....they got it right.
Snaq was very Lucky to play with Frobe.....Frobe did everything and sacrificed so Snaq could get his baby chippies.
Black Mamba would have traded Snaq for being Lazy and replaced him with a soft Euro and still Dominated and won chips.
No doubt.

Re: Kobe is the most overrated player of all time
I stopped reading the NBA forum ever since that Dirk lover (idiot) claimed that Duncan had a better year than Kobe, last year.

But the detractors should be happy, who cares if Kobe s overly beloved by the "casual" media and the general masses, the smaller hardcore elitist crowd knows what's up and puts Kobe in his place, somewhere in the top 30's, somewhat of a "scrub" for a superstar.

It's all about media exposure. Interviewers ask Pippen and MJ about Kobe, they're not asking about Duncan...that's the difference.
This. Im no spurs fan but there is no way Kobe is ahead of Duncan by any objective metric.

That's why they're so salty when the game's best player doesn't have purple and gold on. They then search for reasons to discredit them. See them calling the 90s weak when MJ, and the Bulls dominated. Why? Cause they were irrelevant for 5 years. Oh and Jordan stomped on their guy Magic in '91.
Now? They've been doing the exact same thing to LeBron since 2006. They've been utterly salty at his ascension to the throne of the league.
Damn that ether

Re: Kobe is the most overrated player of all time
Kobe is clearly the 2nd best SG ever, and floating somewhere in the 8-12 range in terms of career performance (i.e.-resume, accomplishments, etc...).
I don't see either one of those points as being particularly contestable.
About the only area where I see room for serious disagreement is in evaluating his peak performance, where I do think he can get overrated by some of his more insane fans.
He is not even close to being the most overrated by the casual fan. That category is filled almost exclusively with guys like Iverson and that category of player.
