You need to take it to HR or a supervisor. Document her treatment of workers for a month or so (just a log book with time date, what was said, etc). and then take that to HR and let them know this is not acceptable managerial behavior.

This is technically the right thing to do, but I would think twice about it. The reason the courts give out such large settlements, is they know that complaints like this can secretly be held against the person that made them, making advancement very difficult.

Don't quit, there will always be sh!tty people anywhere you work. I agree go to supervisor and HR, the more people complain the better. If they do nothing with all these complaints, they will leave themselves open for some kind of lawsuit because of their negligence...when something DOES happen.

That'll be worthless as they are they ones that were told to hire a female supervisor in the first place. For "diversity" reasons.

Obviously I'm being a little extreme but I've had HR/tech manager tell us to our faces that they've turned down perfectly good male candidates because they've been told to hire a female...and they are just no female candidates that apply. Very sexist.

I've got a chick boss in her lower 30s but she's pretty cool. Can be a bit negative but she's very helpful.

That's the most important thing, if it's a low paying job , just bounce and find u something else .dont know what u do, guess something with delivery , then either ask to transfer to a diff dept or if u really really love ur job then be a snitch and go thru the options that were already stated before .just make sure she ain't cool with people in upper managment to where it will be a snowball effect and then u got a big ass bullseye everytime they see u.

Step 1. In as polite an attitude you can muster ask to speak to the woman in private when she has some spare time. Try and work it out with her, be polite courteous and open to criticism. Document time and place of meeting and outcome

Step 2. If she's not responsive take it up the chain to HR or her super or whomever... once again document

Today was pretty crazy. The manager just avoided me and she seemed uncomfortable when I was near her and she didn't raise her voice at anyone today. I think my little outburst yesterday scared her.

I would talk to the supervisors, you aren't a snitch when the person is harming people around her. She needs to be dealt with and that is that.

This is called going over someone's head. I did this once when I was young and naive and my immediate boss flipped out on me, and I now know that bosses in higher places do not respect employees who do this. Lesson learned. There is a pecking order of management in work places for a reason. Good or bad, you should avoid going over the head of your boss just to get to the boss above them, it is very poor form. You have a problem with that lady you talk to her yourself, in private before you ever think about jumping over her to her own boss.
