    Lakers fans....

Could you guys convey to me why exactly Kobe is coming back this year?

What's his end game? Is he delusional enough to think the Lakers are capable of doing anything of any real significance this year in the playoffs?

Just feel like it's a no brainier. Set your franchise up for a lottery pick to develop, give yourself time to rest. And try and rebuild over the next couple of seasons.

How about you save questions like this for other threads? Leave this one to in-game related actions.

Anyway, Lakers are hitting 3's efficiently, but they can't seem to defend the 3.

This is the Gasol we need all the time. Maybe he just needs to set a goal/challenge himself every time like tonight with the donation per point.

Once Kobe comes back, we will go deep in the playoff. So deep that we have a chance at winning it all

Personal glory, to move up on the all-time scoring list, and to win a championship.

Yes, he is. Just like Lebron thinks any team he's on is a contender, Kobe thinks any team he's on is a contender. That's just how he's wired.

The Lakers are setting themselves up to make a big move in the offseason, hence all the short contracts this season. The Lakers tanking is ridiculous just because half the NBA right now seems to be tanking, and further Kobe won't allow it. They're in a position where there's no fvcking way they'd get a good pick if they tanked (due to all the teams making an effort to lose right now), but they don't have enough talent to contend for a championship.

    So, um, GO LAKERS!!!!

they can't make the playoffs without him. Not with the blazer, wolves, and mavericks rising. Warriors need a back up guard fast.

Bizarre to have Nash at the announcing table while the team that pays his salary is on the floor in front of him.

What is he half retired? Comes off weird to me to have him next to Van Gundy
