Huh?
So you buying shit for other people?
When I buy stuff it's for me to enjoy.
Sound systems are played out and I'm gonna get a bigger tv also.
Most women don't care about nice tvs and sound systems.
Women want to go out to the movies not sit in.

As duece and 9er were saying there are major differences between this walmart table and a good Dufferin built table. Bumpers, felt, slate, all these things need to be premier and last to have a good quality pool experience. This table will not provide that. Plus if you buy a table at a specialty place they will assemble and calibrate it for you. Building yourself is pretty sketch.
You sound like you are already invested in this idea, but as a pool player all my life and surrounded by people who've bought home tables, 9er and duece are giving you sound advice. If you want to actually be good at pool I'd suggest to save the $300.
I get what they are saying but I'm not trying to be a pro.
This is just something to kill time while me and some buddies drink before going out or watching a game.
I just don't see myself paying over 600 for a table and then turning around and selling it for less.
I understand that they are saying I would get tired of it and won't play it anymore but I don't see how I could
I would like to thank everyone for their input also
I still haven't made up my mind yet

I've had that before and I would rarely listen to it.
It's like have subs in your car. It gets old
I'm not into sound systems like that.
I could just turn up the volume on my tv and feel the same way

and the pool table isnt going to get old? except its the same type of game over and over and it takes up massive space. a sound system you can listen to new music and it is good for games and movies.

Do you know how much new felt usually cost?
And is it easy to install, I need to upgrade my table asap

Probably a couple hundred bucks.
I recommend you tell them to put Simonis Cloth on it. That's what most professional tables have on them.

If you need a good table mechanic to put it on let me know. I can find you one. I post on a billiards forum.

Re: Pool table. Yay or Nay?
I need to practice my billiard skills. Back when I was a teenager we played regularly at my place. We have a pool rent table for rent business from 2001 to 2003.
IDK. I need to start practicing again. Last time I played Billiard was almost 2 years ago.
