Re: Miami's offensive efficiency
Be interesting how much Oden can give them when he is said to suit up by dec/jan time.

2nd in offensive efficiency... (barely ahead of the Clippers)
Yet 24th in defensive efficiency.
So, Heat fans, what wins championships? Offense, defense, or how hard you homer for your team?

Remember this next time anyone bashes Spoelstra. He's totally changed Lebron's game from an inefficient one to an incredibly efficient one.

Too bad they can't grow taller, rebounding has sucked and will suck for this team

Your hate drives us.
Scary efficient. A bit lazy on the defensive end, but nothing that can't be fixed with some effort and energy.

Spo is a good coach, but his rotations are still shit. Also, he's all about efficiency and defensive energy. The guy is HUGE stat nerd.
On a side note, Lebron had a 56% TS% on the Cav's and 62% on the Heat.

Spo doesn't get a "rotation" til March, he doesn't care about dropping a game here or there to try something

Their defense can be fixed by effort.. Offense is something you can't just make happen. Better for them to be struggling defensively than offensively

It's true. Miami's defense has looked like sh*t before and then they suddenly turned it up a notch. I guess they will be doing the same thing once it really matters.
Of course they still get outrebounded in most of the games, that's one thing that will never change with this line-up.
Right now it looks like coach Spo is trying out some stuff and therefore changing his rotations a lot.

Exactly. People need to realize the Heat only played hard for two stretches last season. The first was the 10 or so games where their win streak had gotten interesting. The second was the conference & NBA finals.
The rest of the games were about experimenting & staying healthy.
It's the Popovich model and it works.
