Game thread: Bobcats @ Rockets 10/30/13

Stev Clifford is a Jeff Van Gundy student so I knew the Bobcats will be solid on defense. They are clogging the lane and creating really a lot of forced shots. What we need to do is make that extra kickout pass to the open shooters to unclog the paint.

Dwight gave him the threes and was also trying to avoid getting into foul trouble on the drive. Having a couple good possessions is not shitting on someone... Dwight ended up being the player of the game for Houston.

Where was McRoberts when Dwight grabbed 26 points while scoring 17 points on a 56% FG?

Harden was in holly cow mode in the last despite clearly being injured. Asik and Howard pretty much out rebounded the whole Bobcats team and were huge.A combined 40 points and 11 were offenmsive which meant 11 extra possessions which is huge. They controlled the paint.

Good game. Houston is a legit early pick for Western Conference champs. A lot of fire power there. 26 rebounds for DH!

As for the Bobcats: I don't understand why we played Al Jefferson. He was winded and limping up and down the court. It's not worth re-injuring his ankle this early in the season imo. We shot really poorly yet hung with the Rockets through 3 quarters. I don't understand why Clifford played Sessions for such long stretches. Kemba was on fire and he pulled him too soon imo.

Anyway I think the Cats are gonna be entertaining this season. I'll be there to see them Friday against Cleveland.
