The problem is he'll take a 25 win team and make them a 45 win team. Which is not the point. Winning a title is the point, and he can't coach a team that can approach that unless you get him literally 100% the quality of players he wants and needs.

Will this work? Of course not, this team isn't a championship contender, but the Lakers don't want tanking, they want the playoffs, they want their Mamba to go as far as he can.
