I always keep hearing that Durant is on Lebron's level or close to it. Some clowns even think he's better than Lebron. I think people are getting ahead of themselves here. Is he even better than Melo?
If one were just to consider the regular season stats exclusively, anyone would think Durant's the better player. But if you simply look at their head-to-head matchups, Melo absolutely DOMINATES Durant. It's not even close.
Melo: 30.2/6.9/3.5 on .50/.40/.85
Durant: 26.8/6.5/3.3 on .42/.38/.89
Out of 12 matchups, Melo has won 11 of them. Taking all this into account, if I were to pick a Melo-led or Durant-led team in a matchup in the playoffs, I'd always go with Melo's team.
