This doesn't mean I think Kobe is a better overall player. Lebron is, but that's more a testament to how freakish he is. But give me Kobe's mindset. With Lebron, you never know for sure. Sometimes he's like Mike, and other times he's letting Boris Diaw dictate his game.
For all the criticisms of Kobe, you never hear that he's mentally weak (or shook), that he quit, or is a beta. Nope, Kobe is out to win 100% of the time. I prefer his ultra-competitiveness.
MJ > both

Yes, MJ is the GOAT. Or closest thing any player comes to it, since it's subjective.

Lebron played the "efficiency game" during the regular season, on a stacked team, with no pressure.
We all saw what happened in the finals to his precious efficiency.
Boris Diaw looked like prime Bruce Bowen out there.

We all saw in the finals what happens to a player when cares too much about efficiency.
Boris Diaw looked like prime Bruce Bowen out there.
So what's your explanation for his ECF performance then?

Shame Boris Diaw couldn't stop LeBron from producing one of the greatest game 7 finals performance of all time to win the series for his team.

Put Magic 32 on your ignore list and save yourself the trouble. He talks about LeBron more than his own stans.

The guy in your avatar would eat Boris Diaw alive.
It would be the first finals series to go 3 games.

The same way I would explain Kobe's.

it is definitely low basketball IQ for a guy who doesn't respect his limitations
however. kobe has none offensively
lebron and MJ do have limitations. so they had to play smart
kobe took whatever shot he ever wanted and it resulted in a top 5-6 all time career
so if it aint broke why fix it
maybe kobes just that much better than everyone else ?

Of course, but that is not relevant to my point, is it? I never once claimed LeBron is as good as Jordan.

Kobe would do the same.

And your praise of Lebron game 7 (succeeding after 6 tries against the most disrespectful defensive strategy of a superstar in NBA finals history), is clearly inflated by your joy of sticking it to Kobe Bryant fans.

Kobe is obviously guarded differently given his superior jumpshot and inferior driving/finishing at the rim. Not to mention that he wouldn't be guarded by Boris Diaw given the positional, height and weight difference. So it's a completely different matchup and, once again, incomparable.
Well, he may have taken 7 games to finally pull of a dominant performance, but it only took him that many tries to pull off a better playoff performance (given the production and magnitude of the moment) than any of Kobe's previous 220 playoff games.

What a clever combination of criteria...
Skillfully avioding more impressive statictical dominance in "less important" games...

and also avioding more impressive examples of will and courage...

I wonder what Kobe would have done in a game 7, at 28, at home, against an old and broken down Spurs team.
