Derrick Rose has been horribly underrated over the past year. If he hadn't been hurt, I think you could seriously argue for him over Durant as the second best player in basketball.

See, I actually like Rose and dislike Westbrook in terms of player personalities.

I would still choose Westbrook over Rose because they're pretty close offensively, with Rose taking the edge. Westbrook is actually a beast defensively and I think that edges him over Rose in terms of a player.

I do think Rose is a better leader though, so I would choose him overall. But as a player, I think Westbrook might have the edge.

Westbrook as a first option can score just as good as Rose.

If you look at the way OKC is designed it's not built around Westbrook at all.
Give Swagbrook 2 athletic bigs who can run the floor and floor spacing shooters and I just can't imagine the stats he would put up. Plus Westbrook plays much better D than D rose.

I would take Derrick Rose in the 4th quarter though

Not a troll thread. I left my opinion out of the OP in case you didn't notice. Im not a fan of either player's style. Was curious to see what others thought. I know there is a strong WB fanbase on here also.

Id take westbrook because of his ability to be the yin to durants yang. he would do anything to win a game, even berate a scrub on his own team. he would play till his leg falls off, not sure you can say the same about rose. oh, a healthy rose? id still take westbrook cuz of that D.

Personally, im not a fan of low IQ players that rely a ton on athleticism. However, what separates the two is that Westbrook has a pair of balls. He is arguably more important than Durant on the Thunder imo. Rose imo is the most mentally weak superstar in NBA history.
