Could see him landing with the Rockets after clearing waivers, since they could use a bench defender at 2,3,4.

Or he could end up with the Nyets.

Kobe trying to keep Metta. The guy sucks but is there a better SF we can sign for cheap?

    Kobe Bryant ‏@kobebryant 6m

Personally I'd keep Metta and make a run with the unit we have and just add a few pieces #keepthepeace #lakersstilldeciding
Sorry Kobe, I think we have to cut Metta and move your old ass to SF

    Metta for Granger

    Good SF for the Lakers

Good mentor for Paul George (for the defensive part)

Sorry to see Metta go. Loved everything he did for the Lakers! Now Lakers need to sign some young legs. Give Austin Daye, Wesley Johnson, Corey Brewer and Nick Young a shot.

Nobody expects much from us this coming season, watch us get a top 3 seed in the west.

Dang, I was hoping along with Sasha and Odom, we'd work on getting Fisher back and reunite the whole gang.

In all seriousness, would be sad to see Metta go. It's already been said but while he never always played the best and had his issues, he takes pride in being a Laker. There were times even when everyone else was checking out of games that he would come through and bring that spirit and energy. For all the negatives you can say about him, lacking energy and spirit is something no one can dock him for. Especially coming back from his injury so quickly just to play and contribute.

I personally hope he stays. Saving 7-8 million is understandable but this has no bearing on the salary cap as far as I know, so it won't do anything different in terms of opening up space for younger legs. May as well keep Metta and a younger piece to back him up instead.

Yup I'm sure we'll trick teams into thinking that we lack talent, defense or athleticism, then bam WCF
