TNT's entire color man crew is horrible. Kerr's boring as hell. Reggie, ugh, it's a miracle he's still got that job - there's nobody worse than him. Grating voice, zero analysis, corny and has no ability to make a game seem important(which is the most important job of a color man). Having to hear Kerr and Reggie do the conference finals as part of a 3-man booth the last 3 seasons has been nothing short of torture. Why O Why did Collins have to return to coaching? . Moving on, Fratello is decent, but not enough to lift TNT's overall crew above horrible. And one more thing, TNT has long had the infuriating policy of lowering the crowd volume, so their commentators' voices stand out more. They pretty much completely take the crowd out of the game, further ruining your experience. The only thing to like about their game presentation is Marv Albert, the GOAT play-by-play man.

This is why I prefer ESPN any day. JVG, Hubie, Barry and now Doug Collins are light years ahead of what TNT has to offer. Their PBP men(Breen, Tirico and Jones) are solid too. They don't decrease crowd volume and since I avoid pre/post game shows, I don't really care if theirs doesn't match-up to TNT's. The game is the only thing that matters.

Nope. Good basketball knowledge which he can convey articulately. Great at doing his job as a color commentator. Good low-key humor. Great chemistry between he, Marv, and Reggie.

Funny that you mention Marv. Marv is worse than the rest of them, same tired BS. He never says anything of note. Steve Kerr has insight.

You can tell some people have biases, but it's impossible to get rid of them. I just wish that they would be less apparent. That's my only criticism of play by play people. Oh and Kevin Harlan is a weak Marv imitation so I don't like him.

GOAT play by play is obviously Dick Vitale.
