So why did he turn facing Mitch and not in the direction where this supposed instigator actually was?

Face it, he was just saying his last "Goodbye, Shit town" to LA. Dwight's too immature to realize that he's a major reason why the team was in such a ruinous state during the whole season. We've seen him blame team-mates, his coaches....

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if he tries signing with the Heat or Thunder in the offseason. He just can't step up to the plate and and man up to the task of playing in the spotlight that comes with being a member of one of the most storied franchises in the NBA.
