Kobe Bryant can do a lot of things, but playing on torn Achilles ain't one of 'em. If that's the diagnosis, industry standard is a year out
It's possible those last 2 free throws were the last shots he will take in an NBA game until mid-late next season. Might be the last time we see Kobe play at a top level.
What a shitty way to go out
Also, this has to be the worst example of gross negligence I've seen in sports in a while. How could Pringles and the front office of LA allow Kobe to play the type of minutes he has accumulated the past few weeks? Everyone could see it wasn't going to end well, and here we are.
Heads should roll over this.

I still think there was more to his last injury that was kept quiet. Whether you like Kobe or not, this is not the way a player of his talent should go out. But considering he's going to be 35 and has been in the league 17 years, I think it's safe to say we're not going to see the current 28/6/5 Kobe ever again.
