without his super stacked team:
25 points 4 rebounds 4 assists 40%
still great though.
You do know he played on the Cavs for 7 years, right? You know, that team where his #2 guy was Mo Williams... and that lost 26 straight and went 19-63 after Lebron left.
He averaged 29.7p 8.6a & 7.3r on .503 in his last year.

What is this first player selective stats bullshit crap?
Kobe was the first player to score 80+pts while shooting more than 60% from the field since Wilt Chamberlain weak era.. See.. I can also make my own, pretty easily..

Um... FG%? I could make 40ppg taking 40 shots no prob. You cant just ignore how many shots are taken. Lebron could average 50 ppg if he wanted. But he wants to win teh finals. And he gets his teammates involved.
In MJs day people had no problem riding his coattails and jus twatching him play. During this age everyone is good and wants the ball. Lebron cant just take 30 shots a game like MJ.

Jordan 3/1/90-4/1/90: 37.1 pts/7.9 reb/6.0 ast/3.8 stl/.9 blk/56% FG/33.1 GameScore
Jordan 3/1/89-4/1/89 - 28.5 pts/8.7/11.2 ast/51% FG/26.6 GameScore
By comparison, Lebron in February has a 28.2 GameScore average. And this is if we just look at months exclusively rather than any 30-day span, in which case Jordan had month-long stretches like these:
32.7 pts/9.9 reb/10.7 ast/2.5 stl/.8 blk/51% FG/30.5 GameScore
38.1 pts/7.7 reb/5.8 ast/3.6 stl/1.0 blk/56% FG/33.7 GameScore
PLAYOFFS - 38.4 pts/7.4 reb/6.8 ast/3.2 stl/.9 blk/52% FG/30.6 GameScore
PLAYOFFS, 3 Weeks - 37.5 pts/7.8 reb/8.3 ast/2.7 stl/53% FG/31.4 GameScore
I'm sure guys like KAJ, Shaq, Bird, Magic, and Wilt have had similar/better months than Lebron too.

Let's be honest, Lebron lost 2 finals playing "his" way. Hes 1-3. Don't pretend like all Lebron does is win win win. MJ and even Kobe "selfishly" shots their teams to the championship 6 and 5 times respectively thanks to their "teams". They didn't do it by themselves.

Re: LeBron first player to shoot 64%+ in a month since...
why does the thread title say "shoot" when he scores primarily with dunks and layups?
partial out all the fastbreak dunks and layups then tell me what his fg% is.

A layup is worth just as many points as a jumper, you know? He's shooting 42.7% on shots more than 10 ft away for the season btw.

I love how they always put caveats with Lebron. They always adjust minimum attempts to either include him, or exclude someone else.

Sure. In February (the subject of this thread), on 3s it's 43%, on shots just inside the 3 (16-23) he shot 63% (yeah, that's not a typo...), and on 3-15 feet, he shot 68%.
Was that sufficient?
