I'm not a Melo hater, but he's had several seasons better than this one. His playstyle just isn't conducive to winning basketball...this isn't to say that he's not an excellent player (he's probably one of the 10 best in the league), but the MVP (though it's an overrated honor) is intended to reward an individual's positive impact on his team's success.
