There's a difference between Lebron/Kobe/Durant hate (Rival/respectable type of hate because the talent in question is so freaking good) vs Blake hate (simple reaction to Blake's fake-toughness and flopping). You don't want the kind of hate Blake receives.

i cant believe people can say such a thing

I understand Drummond because of his potential, but even so, he is the same age as Davis and might jump higher but Davis has a much higher motor and is much quicker off the floor. Not to mention he already has decent for on his shot and good touch around the basket.

Robinson on the other hand I dont understand. He will have to expand his game if he wants to see success in the league but other than improving his range, I don't see much more improvement happening in his game. I'm really impartial to players being undersized as long as their is something else that sets him apart. he dominated with brute force in the NCAA, he can't do that in the NBA against pros at just 6'8''.

I have high hopes for this kid... imagine if he pans out and guys like Bynum/Cousins keep fulfilling their potential, we could finally have ourselves a league with several dominant centers battling it out.

So far, all I can say about him is he must be the luckiest basketball player in the world.
Think about it, a small guard from the South Side of Chicago who plays in a small school, wants to be like Mike but isn't special enough at his position to get noticed.

Suddenly grows 6 inches while retaining his athleticism and touch. Pretty much gets handed the ideal basketball body like some kind of gift from above.

Gets recruited by an all-time great college with a ridiculously stacked team. Everything goes their way, and he wins the NCAA championship in his freshman year. Gets all the individual awards you can think of along the way. Somehow makes the unibrow cool.

Gets drafted first overall by an organization that is willing to bet on him as their franchise player.

Is selected as part of team USA due to injuries to major bigmen like Dwight and Bosh. Still only there as "insurance". Then just as he's about to play meaningless ball at the summer league, a competitor at his position randomly gets injured and he gets to be part of the team, playing with LeBron, Durant, Kobe an co, getting a gold medal and a rare opportunity to take his game to another level.

The gods are watching out for this freak... Someone probably had to be cursed for him to be so lucky.

Christian Laettner had a pretty good resume entering the NBA too. Just sayin.

I'd say LeBron and Kobe are also easily hateable for their style and personality as well.

I think Durant might be the one with no real haters so far...

No, just saying that the 1982 title he won at UNC, Player of the Year award, and 1984 Gold Medal didn't mean anything once he got into the NBA. The 6 titles he earned in the NBA playing against the best in the world.

If Davis becomes a good/great player, Laker fans will dislike/hate him.

He was making it regardless. Who he have to battle for the spot? You're putting up winning a gold medal with him actually accomplishing other feats like college player of the year, national title. Those are things he was apart of contributing and producing. He was selected to the team because he was the best player in college. And he hardly played for the gold. He has a gold medal like the athletic training has a NBA ring. Its cool but you really didnt do anything.
