Completely different time in the NBA. West never had to tap dance around a CBA like Kupchak has had to. Yes Shaq Kobe was better in terms of talent, but in terms of a coup, in this current era getting Nash and Howard and Jamison while keeping the core together is by far and away a much bigger off season.
