LeBron + Wade Don't Like Or Respect Kobe

Anyone else get this sense? Yeah they point to being buddy-buddy from the Olympics, but you can see even at the last two All-Star games and anytime the Heat play the Lakers ... they don't like Bryant and both feel they are better than him.

Not necessarily a bad thing as the modern NBA is way too friggin' nice.

I kind of get that feeling too.

Though Wade did compliment Kobe the other day when he was asked "Who would you take (besides yourself) shooting the last shot of the game" and told the reporter "Kobe"

It's hard to really know for sure. Maybe they dislike Kobe and butter him up in the media to be politically correct but then plays like in the all-star game they show true colors.

Or, they respect Kobe thus talking him up in the media and are just fiercely competitive and recognize Kobe as a huge rival and that just kind of shows in the chippy way they play the Lakers.

I'll go with the latter. And I think kobe laughs either way

it's the oedipal complex, Lebron and Wade both spent their adolescent years watching Kobe tearing up the league. So Kobe's their metaphorical father and they get to the league wanting to tear him down. But they realize they can't so they band together.

For Lebron, the hatred is even deeper because his real father left him. So that displaced anger is transferred onto Kobe.

I meant in the sense that they don't seem to "respect" Kobe in that they don't give his game much respect on the court. They don't treat him like he's anything special, they go at him constantly.

No one would bloody MJ's face in an All-Star game, not even Ewing would take a run at MJ like that in an All-Star event, but LeBron and Wade look at Kobe like he ain't "sh-t".

I kinda like it, I think basketball needs more of that.

I think Lebron likes Kobe. Wade is a different story. He can't even hide his hatred for Kobe in interviews. His face scowls and he has this bitter look when people ask him about Kobe. Plus he looks down when he compliments Kobe which means he is lying about whatever he says due to no eye contact which is indicative of a person who is lying.
