In all of your posts in this thread, you continue to overlook the importance of defense, yet you think they will compete for a championship? That is insane. And of your player comparisons, I'm not sure which is the most ridiculous, but comparing JR to Ray Allen certainly gave me the giggles.

Why are people concerned with melo's Iso when hes 2nd to durant among players being assisted on their points. My only concern with melo is his conditioning and always relying on bully ball rather than off the ball to lengthen his career. Players with long careers plays off the ball like allen, miller and I hope he could do that.

Melo, Fields, JR are average at defense.

Shumpert, Jeffries and Chandler excel at it.

The Knicks have put up solid defensive numbers this year. I think the biggest thing we need to address is improving Amare's defense.

JR isn't as efficient as Ray Allen (especially this season), but JR has the most range in the league.

*JR fits ok making some nice shots and taking some bonehead ones, but ultimately Knicks still improve enough to secure playoff placement*
