Kobe managed 23 ppg on 45% FG against 64 year old Jason Kidd as his vastly more talented team got SWEPT in embarrassing, blowout fashion. Went out like a bitch. And people had the nerve to suggest that he was equal to or better than 1998 (35 year old) Jordan this past season - MJ averaged 32/6/4/48% FG in the playoffs up through the Finals that season, and that was AFTER he was busy playing heavy minutes (39 mpg vs. Kobe's 34 mpg) and carrying a Pippen-less team to a 56 win pace through the first 45 games of the season. Kobe coasted, supposedly "conserving his energy" for the playoff run (according to his fans), and then played like ass. As good as 1998 Jordan? Yeah...no.

dirk's in my top 20...and a lot of others as well.

all i know is that the only time they played each other in the playoffs....dirk was easily the better player. kobe was too busy choking in crunch time and tripping over his own feet and bricking yet another playoff game winner bringing his career total of 7 of 25 on game winners in the playoffs.
