This 'go to move stuff' irks me for some reason. Malone had a brilliant J and a great faceup and low post game. He just missed shots under pressure or took bad ones.

Lol I'm not saying he's wrong, or even not to be a homer. Hell I'm a homer. But I do try to look at both sides of the fence when making comparisons.

Not just make comparisons based on one of the players strengths and the other players weakness.

He is, IMO, a much tougher matchup than Malone. I don't think anyone can defend Dirk. Put a small guy on him and he gets high quality looks or he makes the defense scramble. Put bigger guys on him and he's too quick, too skilled and shoots the ball too well. I honestly believe he's one of the 3 biggest mismatches I have ever seen on offense.

How can you be one of the biggest mismatches without being a top notch scorer? Stephen Jackson? Dirk is great but he wasn't the way you are describing him.

I find this thread stupid because Malone was better than Dirk at most aspects of the game. Malone was a Better Defender, Rebounder, Scorer, Faster, Stronger, Mor Agil. He had a great mid range shot and later on about 1995 he developed quite a decent post game. On the Break as a Finisher Reciever he was the Best Player Ever at that

No this isn't correct. dirk is easily the better defender, the better passer, and more athletic than malone. only thing malone beats him at is rebounding.
