Perhaps. But Jordan has a huge speed advantage. It'd be a high scoring matchup for sure.

Not a fair matchup. Centers would destroy perimeter players due to their size and length advantage. Not to mention they have superior skills in the paint.

I agree that MJ couldn't stop Kareem at all, but could Kareem stop him from running around and shooting jumpshots?

Should be able to some degree. Kareem was pretty quick himself. Don't forget he has his length too. He doesn't need to be too close to contest a jumper.
Also, MJ is going to tire quicker since he has to be more active and use more strength against a bigger opponent. We all know fatigue affect jumpshots a lot.
