Then you're the big exception on ISH.

Anyhow, Dirk is clearly the better player compared to Pau, but I think Gasol might be a better fit for LA. On the other hand, the Lakers are big enough to make up for the lack of interior presence and Dirk's scoring abilities and clutchness would surely fit your team.

    Go ahead
Come on now. Dirk over Amare all day. Dirk's pretty clutch and his shot is absolutely unguardable. Amare got a nice shot and can dunk and all that but can he carry a team? i don't think so. He was around a 500 team in the EAST without Carmelo

but basically Amare and Dirk stat wise are very much even...When you take a look at their best years..nobody is a clear cut better player ..and when you consider Amare may still have not seen his best years that helps him.

Being a "second option" in Phoenix..and to put up similar #'s to Dirk helps my case..

When you let that soak in...we can talk about resume's and intangibles and compare those next

My point is Dirk is overrated..and i can consider them being even..but most people act like Dirk blows Amare out the water...when he does not
    you seem unsure of yourself.

and its not all about stats. I don;t think Amare can carry a team on his own

As of now, Nowitzki. When both finish their career, it's definitely Stoudemire.

I'm very eager to see how he can match Dirk's MVP, playoff numbers and his All-NBA selections.

Amare's midrange jumper is just as deadly now
That is a stretch. Dirk hits his mid-range jumpers while they are contested, while Amare only takes them when they are open.

People will only claim Amare after his career is over because he played for the Knicks.

to me this isn't even a real argument or discussion.

At least have it Durant vs. Carmelo

This isn't exactly "destroying" arguments as you claimed. Looks more like backpedaling to me.

They are equal for the most part. Offensively they play differently but both still dominant. Dirk just has an edge on the defensive side of the ball.
