I thought it was Melo then and still do now.

Re: ROY 2004: Carmelo Anthony or Lebron James?
This thread should be good.....
Anyway...LeBron was the ROY the minute he took the stage next to stern at the Draft....Basically, it was his to lose...And Melo did nothing epic enough to take it away from him.

Guess someone forgot this.

Winning MVP is not just about how great a player's STATS are compared to others...

For rookies, it almost always is about stats (because they so frequently aren't on good teams due to how the draft works).

Man shut the fuck up. Being an asshole has nothing to do with how good a player is on the court. If you want to fill the board up with threads about all the bad things he's done thats one thing, but don't derail good threads with this bullshit

Speaking of 04......whatever happened to KingofVA from the old ezboard days? He was probably the first Bron hater I remember.
And back then I sided with Bron and still do. They were equal as scorers and on the board, but Bron was just a superior playmaker. To me that was enough to give him the nod as ROY.

Melo should have won the Rookie of the Year, but the voters were probably impressed with LeBron because he's the 4th NBA Rookie to average 20-5-5 in his first NBA Season.

Tired of people making comparisons in retrospect based solely in stats. The Cavs were a piss poor team before LBJ got there and he single handedly brought them to respectability in a single season. Fack the stats
