All manufacturers care about is sales. They will mostly try and stick to the formula that made them famous which was a very realistic racing game, but the end task is pleasing consumers, and driving more sales.
What I dislike is that 6 years ago when there was only the PS2, etc... there was no such thing as "online updates". You buy the game and play it how it shipped.
I think even if the game was super-hard, It would still make tons of bank, but you're right. Which sucks.

That is amazing.
I have this game pre-ordered too. Nice little $5 discount from Bestbuy when I pre-ordered it in June. This will be the first GT game I own. Only played GT 2 for a little bit once. It'll probably take some time to get used to the controls and physics.

Probably wait until after first of the year to get a 3D TV. And the first one will probably go in my living room.
I had a hard enough time explaining to my gf why I was dropping $800 on a LCD TV for the spare bedroom.

Re: Gran Turismo 5
Very excited for this game. Gonna invest in a wheel/peddles too.
Think it would be fine to hook up the wheel and stuff to a computer desk? I have a flat screen that I use for mac/PS3 on the desk, and don't want to have a whole chair and stuff for one game.

Check out the Logitech Driving Force GT.

Just clamp it on your desk and you're good to go.

Re: Gran Turismo 5
I'm going to wait a month or two on this one. I want to see how many hours I'll be working in the Winter to gauge how much time I'll have to play this. Buying the game and [possibly] a gaming chair + gaming wheel with clutch might be a monumental waste of money.

Finally beat all the challenges on GT5P. About a month until GT5 comes out, luckily I have 2K11 and FIFA11 to tide me over.

I was able to get my G27 wheel on Amazon for $230 w/ free shipping. That's only $80 more than the GT Driving Force, and you get a clutch and detachable 6-speed shifter.
