Sun Mingming is too slow for the game of basketball... he'd be running up and down the mid-court... even when they set him up on a half-court play, i doubt he;s strong enough to gain position at the low block... if fronting can cause trouble to Yao... Sun Ming Ming will be absolutely useless...

if somehow he gets into the NBA... he will end up on every poster...facial every night...

He has trouble against inferior ABA competition. Plus, he misses a dunk every once in a while (wtf?). His vertical is at best 12 inches (like his feet are glued to the ground).

He would likely be the worst pick and roll defender in the league, not to mention he would be next to useless against run and gun teams... could you seriously see this guy running up and down the basketball court for even 15 minutes per game against a fast paced team like the warriors or knicks??

It's a miracle that Yao Ming can play as much as he does, and combine that with Yao's skill and BBall IQ. This guy is probably pretty fun to play with at the park, but not in a NBA game.

i thought the same thing...but when you look at the pros and cons, the cons outweigh the pros.

being 7'9 will probably mean that he's slow and has knee (or some kind of leg) problems. those are two big red flags for teams. aside from that (idk im just speculating -->) he probably doesnt have great footwork or any offensive skill whatsoever

i'd sign him to (as somebody else said) guard an inbound pass . but only if there's 3 or less seconds left.

If I remember correctly, Sun's stamina was a huge issue. He would get winded after running one lap down the floor.
