Re: Kobe Bryant Appreciation Thread
He didn't shoot as well as he did in the last few series, and he still makes selfish plays that drive me insane, but Bryant is now a much deserved Finals MVP and champion as the central piece of a team. I wouldn't be surprised if another one follows next year. He's definitely moved up a couple of notches with regard to his position in NBA history with this championship.

Yeah the FG% was down, but you don't win it on paper. Kobe kept attacking and making plays for others. Good Finals performance.

I like Kobe a lot...the only thing that irks me about the Lakers are their dumbass fans with the exception of a few.
You can say what you want Kobe is great yes..but Lebron if he isn't better already(which I think he is) but Lebron will be the best player in the NBA for the next 7 or 8 years so consider this Kobes fairwell tour this year.

Obviously LeBron is poised to take the torch -- I've always said that Bron could be the best ever. He needs to work on getting better. If LeBron brings his skills up to Kobe's level, he'll average 40 points per night.

Good college starter

You guys realize two years from now, Kobe will be the Lakers ALLTIME top scorer & will have the Lakers records for games played and steals?
That's right. Not Magic. Not Kareem. Not the Logo. Not Shaq. Kobe.
4 rings. MVP. Finals MVP. Allstars MVP. Guy has done it all.
That's the definition of a legend, right there.

Men are judged by how they rise from a big fall.
It's been an amazing journey for Kobe so far. What he's gone thru has made him who he is today. But one thing hasn't changed - his desire to win.

Re: Kobe Bryant Appreciation Thread
I remember arguing in the college dorm rooms, back when he shot airballs against Utah. The kid looked like he had something special about him. Good to see him deliver that 4 trophy this decade.
