Re: Top scorers at every age.
Surprised Alex snuck in there. And I’d have included 43-44 if only to bring up Parish and Willis. And of course both Mutombo and Manute Bol may have been 50 but we don’t talk about it. The person responsible for Manutes age listing said himself nobody knew so he made it up to put him in college. Just chose an age that would make him about 23 at draft time but admits he may have been 40 as a rookie. He just wanted to give him a chance he says. I doubt the difference is that drastic but like I said…the guy saying he was 40 as a rookie is the one who went and got him and assigned his age personally so who am I to say?

I don't know what the criteria is but Alex English was top five from 31-36 which is why it was offensive he missed out on the top 75.

The pic they used for Kareem at age 38 is so out of place and random.

To add to this, his age was 40+ in the pic they used for age 38. He shaved his head for the first time in the middle of the '87 season. 38 year old Kareem still had short hair with bald spots.

It is odd that MJ made it only once.
Barry averaging 36 in the 60s wow. He got to the foul line 11 times per game.

Because it's mis-titled
MJ was the best scorer from 23-40
He scored 40 at 40 and averaged 20 ppg, and he averaged 44 in the playoffs at 23

MJ averaged more ppg than Wilt in regular season and playoffs.. And far more scoring titles
Ultimately, MJ is the greatest scorer BY FAR because he's the only guy that always defeated maximum defensive attention (carried scoring load).
Everyone in history had equal-scoring partners to attract equal defensive attention for various playoff runs, so they didn't always face maximum defensive attention.. Any period without facing maximum defensive attention is inflated stats compared to Jordan, who carried the scoring load in every SERIES, let alone playoff run.
