Re: Lebron/Cavs pregame ritual
Professional athletes are entertainers. It's not like they're trying to repair the hole in the ozone or bring peace to warring countries. They are entertaing fans and preparing for a game. Part of preparing for a game is mental preparation and there is more than one way to climb that mountain.
Whatever they do, I'd have to say it works for them, harms no one and apparently spins out uptight fans of opposing teams. What's not to like?

Re: Lebron/Cavs pregame ritual
I always liked the Pistons pregame dancing and weird rituals, like Rip having to fake box everyone. Three guesses on who sacrifices babies before the game to fuel his dark power...

True. But Ray Lewis will snap your pelvis in half then murder you in the parking lot. His dance is more like a voodoo ritual to summon the savage spirits to wreak havoc on other team.
I like the Cavs ritual. Are you guys the fun police or something? I like the one they did the night before though, where LBJ took the picture and stuck his hand out for money...

Imagine this in the early 90's. Bird or Oakley would punch your face in if you'd suggest this pregame in the lockerroom.

I think Dan Patrick and his crew were referring more to titles not the regular season

Professional athletes also set standards and are the model for lower bball leagues across the country. From college, high school, jr high, elementary.
But I'm just stating the obvious. Surely you were aware of this.

Re: Lebron/Cavs pregame ritual
I like things like this tbh, it shows the team has fun together, and it helps them build chemistry, helps them feel like they are all part of a group.
Far better than some teams where it looks like players can barely stand sitting next to each other on the bench.

Re: Lebron/Cavs pregame ritual
Nothing is as gay as the cheerleading routine the suns do at home where shaq dances, he throws (yes throws) players, on and on. It's so convluted and ridiculous, especially for a team like that that has no real chemistry and loses every game, such contrived bull****.
