Nope. The main reasons Shaq was so much better than Dwight are his superior footwork, post moves and passing ability, plus the fact that he's 3-4 inches taller.

Shaq weighed 340 when he had easily his best season(1999-2000). This was what he looked like on media day that season.

So no, fatter is not better. If you looked at Shaq's other best seasons 2000-2001, 1994-1995, 1993-1994, 1997-1998, 2004-2005 ect. He was always in the 300-350 range. The only exceptions were 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 where he was upwards of 380, but as a result his defense declined and he wasn't at the level he was during the first 2 years of the 3peat.

Shaq got fat for a while but that was only a few years. Other than that, he's been a beast. Oh, and his quick post up moves after getting deep post position was insane! Kids w' short memories. Dwight's got a long ways to go to catch up to Shaq in the skills department. Oh, and Shaq has superior intellect, basketball iq, and passing ability.
