Parish was an All-Star center, Ainge was very reliable, D.J. who is considered to be one of the greatest defensive guards in NBA History and Bill Walton was the NBA's top sixth man, and he was healthy for virtually the entire season. That team could play defense, they could rebound, they could run and score on the fast break, and they had the greatest half court offense in NBA History. They were completely unselfish on offense and moved the ball as well as any team I have ever watched. And as Bill Walton said, if things bogged down, you could just kick it out to Larry and he would hit a 3. This team virtually had no weaknesses.
OK. I thought I smelled a rat....

Harper was on both teams, both teams had great defensive players.
Rodman was a plus for bulls, but he had no offense.
I'd still rank 2001 lakers ahead of them.

Yes, even then, I would disagree with him. In 1997 Jordan/Pippen were perfectly in sync, even more than 1996 in my opinion. Let us not forget Dennis Rodman, serviceable center with midrange touch in Luc (not a scrub like many think), and of course the fact that they were better defensively. 1-4. I believe it would be great series but Bulls would take it in 6 or 7 games.

To be fair though Hakeem had no problem with the Bulls in the regular season for his career and he did not have an elite wing man, obviously never faced in the playoffs. So you never really know I guess...

Talk about overrated. 80s celtics were a joke,
Ainge -JJ. Reddick
Bird-Dirk (shorter with uglier form, better passer)
Mchale- David Lee/Mark Madsen
3 White players on starting 5 in NBA today? They would get killed today.

LOL, it took bulls 6 games to beat Malone and Stockton, LOL
You think they could beat Kobe and Shaq?

And Hakeem was better than all of them. Shaq was still young which was evident when his team was the number 1 seed and was still swept by the 6th seed Rockets. So having to go against a prime Shaq and Kobe would be a lot harder than some of the teams they faced, imho. But in the end we can only assume, I just give the nod to Jordan's mental toughness.
