Lebron needs to slim down

He's listed at 250 (so we'll assume he's really that) so he should slim down ten pounds.

Why?

He's not a post player first of all. So he really doesn't need to be that heavy.

He's naturally strong, even if he loses that weight, he'd still be stronger than almost every 2 and 3.

He'd be "quicker," and that's different than "faster." Sure he's quick now, but he'd be that much quicker.

But, the MAIN reason is..........

He'd improve his shot.

I think his shot isn't as good as it could be, because he's too strong. People may point out to Karl Malone and other big guys with a jumper, but they didn't shoot 3pt shots constantly and they didn't have his form.

I think his form would improve, and he'd improve his jumper without a doubt.

He's actually 265 right now. I don't know why they still say he's 250. That's what he weighed a good 3 years ago. As far as his jumper being better with lesser weight is concerned; well, it wasn't better THEN when was lighter...so I don't think weight has much to do with how LeBron's shooting. I will agree on him losing a few pounds to help his quickness though. I don't understand why he has to weigh as much as he does.

As long as your musculature doesn't limit your range of movement, and you don't gain so fast you don't have time to adjust, it's not going to hurt your shot.

According to Lebron AND coaches, he didn't even hit the weights (i.e. weight training) until about 2 years ago, so what exactly would you like him to do to slim down, particularly given his low percentage of body fat.

He was still young.

Most players don't really get a consistent shot till their 4th or 5th season.

Unless a player has a natural shot coming into the league.

So to say that "his shot wasn't good when he was lighter" is misleading.

I do feel the weight training affects his shot. And the fact that he changed his shot doesn't help either.
