And this is why I feel Melo is under rated. Out of the top 15 players during the season GW Melo shoots the best percentage. Over half that list shoots under .400% and Melo shoots something like .480%. He is 5th on that list is the most effective out of the top 10. He has only attempted 27 and made 13 of them. I have always said that down the stretch he would probably be the 2nd or 3rd guy that I would want making the big shot. After looking at the list tho you really realize alot tho. How players such as Billups and Roy get praised for there clutch play but you take a look at the % and see how there not really the best option out there.

Did you even look at the stats? LeBron is 17 of 50(34%) in "Game Winning" situations, meanwhile Kobe is 14 of 56(25%). Neither has been that "clutch" judging by those statistics, really.

being 'clutch' isn't a statistic. you have to pick the right guy to get you the best shot at the end of close games. and kobe and lebron are the 2 best players for that. statistics are meaning less, those two are the absolute best in creating makable shots.

Did I miss the section where it said this thread is only about game winners in the playoffs\players that have been out of the first round?
